Participants received scholarships based on grade point average. Typically, the Academy awards scholarships in denominations of $250, $500, $750, and $1000; however, this year, scholars who participated in the Natural Sciences Academy (NSA) earned an additional $250-$750. NSA scholarships, which were participation-based , were funded through Dr. Jacqueline Smith's NSF grant.
